The European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN) launched its guideline on clinical nutrition in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) as an app version for smartphones and tablets. The app is available for download for iOS and Android. A web-based version will become also available soon. 

The ESPEN Guideline App and the Web-version are dedicated to all professionals (physicians, nurses, dieticians, nutritionists etc.) who encounter questions regarding the use of medical nutrition or nutritional support in general in their clinical everyday life. The IBD guideline is the beginning of this new form of guideline dissemination, an initiative supported by grants from ESPEN and from the United European Gastroenterology (UEG). The App version of the ESPEN guidelines on clinical nutrition in cancer disease, chronic intestinal failure, liver disease, and surgery are expected to be released shortly.
