Today, the Medical Nutrition International Industry (MNI) announced that Manuela Schaflechner has been named new President for a two-year term.

Today, the Medical Nutrition International Industry (MNI) announced that Manuela Schaflechner has been named new President for a two-year term. Fernando Mateus, who has held successfully the MNI Presidency for the last two years, will continue as a member of the Executive Committee.

“It is a privilege for me to serve as MNI President for the next two years,” said Manuela Schaflechner, Senior Director Clinical Nutrition at Baxter International Inc. “We aim that malnutrition screening & nutritional care become an integral part of the patient's journey to achieve better care through better nutrition, across all ages and healthcare settings. We focus on raising awareness of malnutrition, educating on the value of clinical nutrition and positioning disease-related malnutrition higher on the health policy agenda. I will work with conviction to support MNI's mission to support the quality of nutritional interventions and services to best serve the interests of patients, healthcare professionals and healthcare providers." added Manuela.

With nearly 20 years of experience in the healthcare and medical fields, at MNI Manuela Schaflechner has been a member of the Executive Committee for 7 years. Her appointment testifies to the great commitment, knowledge and experience that Manuela boasts in the field of clinical nutrition.
